About this Recipe

Mango in Cambodia are more sour than sweet, so reduce the sugar in the dressing if you are using sweet mango but more sugar may need to be added to the dressing. This salad can also be made with squid, chicken breast or shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 150 gr shredded green mango
  • 15 gr carrots shredded
  • 50 gr Shrimp cooked
  • 15 gr mixed pepper 
  • 5 tbsp teak trei mteh (Khmer dressing dressing)
  • 10 pcs sweet basil
  • 2 tbsp roasted crush peanut
  • 15 gr shallots, sliced
  • 20 gr mixed vegetable ( local)
  • ( Khmer dressing for salad
  • chopped red onion 15gr ,garlic 2pices, chili finger 1pice (remove seeds) then put in a small bowl adding sugar palm 1TBS, fish sauce 1TBS , chicken stock or chicken powder 1tbs, mixed all together keep continuous stirring until sugar are dissolved. Adjust seasoning to test. 

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Peeled green mango and shredded with a peeler put in a plate on the side.

Step 2

 Saut’e Shrimp in a pan with a bit of cooking oil, chopped garlic add  salt sugar pepper with seasoning keep it with other plate until cool.

 Step 3

Slice all Vegetable keep in a mixing bowl  add Shrimp cooked and all ingredients together add Khmer dressing then adjust seasoning to taste.

Step 4

Remove from the bowl and arranges it nigtly on the plate. 

Step 5

Serve with roasted crust peanut on the top.
